Do: Complete an Inspection

To ensure your model is still in good condition, you’ll want to complete a very thorough inspection of your used motorsport vehicle. If you’re not the most experienced in motorsport maintenance, it may be wise to do a little research beforehand to make sure you know what you’re looking for. Requesting the model’s vehicle history report may also prove to be helpful, as it should list various repairs, damages, or accidents, if there are any to report.

Don’t: Forget a Test Ride

Many buyers assume that, because a model passes its initial inspection, it's safe to walk off the lot. However, this isn’t really the case. A test ride should always follow an inspection to confirm that the model can be safely ridden. If your seller offers to have the engine started before you arrive, we encourage you to instead request a cold start instead. This will allow you to see for yourself how the engine runs, and ensure that the model has no trouble starting up.
